Rocky Mountain National Park Wedding | Hayley and Chaz

I’ve never met a couple who wasn’t at least just a little nervous before their wedding day. It’s such a momentous, exciting step in your life and you want it to be just perfect. But as a photographer who has met many couples and photographed weddings of all kinds, I’ve noticed that as soon as the bride and groom see each other for the first time, all that nervousness melts away. Everything leading up to this was worth it when they catch each other’s eye and meet for the first embrace of their adventure ahead.

Everything Made Right

Like all others, Hayley and Chaz were feeling the jitters before the ceremony: Will everyone remember where to go? Will everything be on cue? Did we forget any of the big stuff? But as soon as they saw each other for the first time, everything was made right, and the little details and worries faded into the background.

They tied the knot at Wild Basin Lodge and Event center, right on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was truly a sight to behold—she was in a lovely lace gown cut just right (because she MADE IT HERSELF), and he donned a handsome black suit. The mountains spread out majestically behind them. We even saw a moose while taking bride and groom photos! It was all like a dream come true.

For the bride and groom photos, they jumped in my car, and we drove only three minutes to this peaceful lake I had scouted out before hand. The lighting was amazing. The moment was so meant-to-be and I didn’t even have to direct them much—they were so in love.

I truly loved capturing this special day for you, Hayley and Chaz! Congratulations—I wish you both the very best!
